My neighbor works in beer industry, not exactly sure what he does but something with distribution. Anyways, he got me a mini keg of some German holiday beer, not sure what it is because it is all written in German but I will try to get a picture up later. Was really delicious stuff though.

I'm getting stationed in Germany for the AF in a few months here. I'm going to go nuts over there with the beer. Really looking forward to it.

Anything by the Capitol Brewery of Middleton, WI. Absolutely incredible beers. Their Winter Skal is out and it's awesome. You won't find a better Oktoberfest!

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Last night I opened the fridge looking for a Sam Adams Octoberferst, but the lovely wife failed to tell me there was only one left (I can never have just one). I had to open the Pyrat Rum instead.

Wednesday night I had two pins of Hazelnut Brown Ale from Rogue Brewery. Stuff is so tasty, though I'm hoping that next week Horse Brass gets in the new Lagunitas espresso stout in on tap.

I was happy to see that my BB&M (beer bricks & mortar ) has their stock of Christmas beers out! My usual pick-ups this time of year include:
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale Anchor Christmas Ale Harpoon Winter Warmer and a variety of stouts & barleywines. Wooo hoo! |
