Oliva Serie V Melanio Natural Toro - It wouldn't be revelatory to say that these are good, I think most everyone is of that opinion, and they are - but I have to say I think I might prefer the regular Serie V to these. RevSmoke recently shared a regular V with me in a sampler and I have to say it was sublime. Granted, it was extensively aged, but man it really out performed this Melanio I'm currently smoking. I think I'll have to snatch up a Serie V 5er and see how they smoke when younger in comparison. |

Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?
I don’t like it when NC cigar makers use Cuban terms to describe and market their cigars. It’s misleading and a cheap ploy that usually turns me off. This Herrera Esteli in londsdale vitola is the exception. If someone handed me this without a band and told me it was a Cuban, I’d be fooled. It has a lot of qualities you look for in a cc but with flawless and consistent construction. This will be my go-to summer cigar, no doubt. |

Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?
Protocol Probable Cause Churchill - holy smokes guys. This is a damn fine cigar, I had seen some positive reviews for it and they were on the money. Medium body with lots of pepper and spice and a ton of complexities. I picked up some notes that I can't say I've ever tasted in another cigar, definitely fleeting but they were there. Unfortunately the first 1/3 burned crooked and needed a few relights but after that it has been smooth sailing. Recommended. |
