Do you smoke those ones with the leaf sticking out the bottom like normal or do you have to clip it off or something? I have never ran into those types before.

You can do both. I prefer to clip it off, I find it burns better.

I clipped MOST of the leaf off the bottom I left a 1/8 inch or so. I got another I'll probably light up the loose foot. Whichever works better is what my 3rd and final summerfest will get.

I smoked my first one with it on...took about 20 minutes to get to the stick. The rest have been cut off.

Never had a summerfest, how to you light the damn thing since the foot is open??

I personally took it down with the MTX scissors the cigar lasts about an hour and a half as is. The extra foot would push it into a 2 hour stick. That's a bit much for me and it is one of my favorite Viajes. If you don't have the Xikar MTX scissors watch Cigarmonster for them they are a very nice cutter. They can easily chop a 52-54 ringer right in half with no difficulty. I haven't tried anything bigger. "TWSS"

Anyways I'm sure a Palio or any other cutter would work fine. I left part of the shaggy foot but only maybe 1/8 - 1/4 inch.

Look into getting some, they are very good sticks at a reasonable price of $8-$10. Speaking of which I need to buy more.

The summerfests kick ass! I have 2 sitting in my humi now. Even have a fiver of the face aswell. Cant wait to try them. Good pick ups
