Re: Games thread!
Lots of games coming out soon. Not sure how I am going to talk my wife into all of them. Especially with my job up in the air.
Cant wait for the new Batman game.

2 and Brotherhood were stellar games. Very much looking forward to revelations.

Re: Games thread!
I like 1 & 2. Almost finished with 2, but these Assassin's Tombs are just ridiculous! Takes away from the game IMHO.

Re: Games thread!
Yeah Bill, I got tired of the tombs myself and finally just stopped trying and just stuck to the main storylines and enjoyed myself much better....I'm not all about 100% completion of a game just as long as I finish it.

Anybody played Cave Story?
Wow! Awesome download for a free game. If you get it, make sure you download the English translator to go along with it.

Picked up Deus Ex. It's... tough. Just starting out though. Hopefully I'll get the knack of it. You can't quite play it as an FPS and stealth in the beginning is harder than the Thief games by a remarkable margin.

I've got that as well, waiting to beat brotherhood before I start it though.

Deus Ex is ok, but it's not grabbing me. I think once Dead Isand and space marine release tomorrow i'll shelve it, just doesn't seem quite like the older ones.

Re: Games thread!
It's too early to tell for me yet but it looks like they really NAILED it. I suspect the "sufficiently hard in the beginning" is going to reflect a demand on actual thoughtful gameplay later on. The hacking system is f'ing cool as hell.
The first mission after the intro sequence allows you to choose your rules of engagement, whether to go "lethal or nonlethal" and "ranged or close combat". It's really quite something. |
