I don't have any links, but a couple weeks ago I heard a cover of Lionel Ritchie's "Easy" done by Faith No More...it was so horrible that I laughed my tuckus off

I was wondering if someone was gonna bring up Richard Cheese....

And they did.

I liked Whiskey in the Jar from Thin Lizzy, just their version of a centuries-old folk song.
Their lead singer just kills it.

How about this:

Led Zep's Kashmir meets Rihanna's Man Down. Live recording by the Belgian rockers Triggerfinger.

I love me some Phil Lynott. (Emerald is still one of my favorite songs - especially the live version). No pretty video, but I found the sound on this version better and some good audience sing-a-long.

and if that isn't enough Whiskey in the Jar for you, here is U2 doing it with the only remarkable thing about it being the audience singing.

I used to listen to BOC do Born to be Wild before I even heard of Steppenwolf:

And I can still remember (barely) when Robby Krieger joined them for Roadhouse Blues:

and just to tie everything together here's Metallica doing BOC's Astronomy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFwLwFn2lt0
