Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
Nice cars guys!
Looks like tomorrow will be the cutoff here as well - to stop pretending it's spring, and say goodbye to the car for a few months. |

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
Would be cool to make it a resto-rod style Z. Keep all the styling but put a miata engine trans in it. Would have slick 5 speed and good engine maintaining light weight.

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
I've gone back/forth about putting a LS1 in it. Lots of guys have done it, mated to a Tremec 5 or 6 speed. Talk about bad a$$. Only affects the weight by around 40lbs towards the front, as the original straight 6 is quite heavy. I've also thought about having the motor gone over to freshen it up. Maybe a mild cam swap too. All depends on how adventurous I want to get, plus how deep my pocket book is at the time.

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
It's a 2016 Lambo Huracan - LP610-4 in Midas yellow. I decided I didn't want to be the really old guy driving one so I got it now. Incredible experience to drive. Really got hooked after driving an aventador in LV and then a 458 Speciale in Germany for two days. Found a guy here in VB who has a Gallardo Superleggra in the same yellow at a local cars and coffee event.

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
Oh forgot the details. 2015 Charger Scat Pack. The lesser known car. Same engine as the SRT 392. No adjustable suspension and a few less options in the driving modes. Smaller brakes and tires too but I don't track the car and I drive like granny. But I think it was 7K less and cheaper to insure.

I looked for "granny driving school" but didn't come up with much
Maybe just having this car will reform you |

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!
Going to start a build on a '67 Impala SS convertible. Not me - paying for it, I don't know what the hell's going on under the hood. I just like the old stuff mostly mid-60's.
Debating on the engine? Rebuild the 327 or put in a period correct 427? That should add $5 + K to the value of the car. I'm not going to resto-mod it too much aside from brakes and suspension - I want it to look stock. I'm thinking save the 327 and put it on a stand and buy a modern Chevy crate motor. If I ever get rid of the car I'll let the old 327 go with it

How was that car? You did not have it long... Sure is a looker.
