Re: Origin of User Names?
Well, when I was a stupid kid in high school (this is 10 or 11 years ago), my friend and I were trying to figure out what we wanted our hacker screen names to be, the idea was we were both going to choose a famous assassin from history, then add 2600 on the end (a quarterly magazine dedicated to hacking).
Well, our grand plans of "hacking the planet" () never came to fruition, but the screen name stuck and I've used it ever since |

Re: Origin of User Names?
Name, former profession (no longer an active CPA, so I'm probably violating some sort of ethics rule as a result)
Also my screen name from back in the AOL days.

My mom gave me my screen name before Al Gore invented the Internet. She was a smart woman!

Re: Origin of User Names?
Mine is my name, obviously. The numbers, actually, I am not too sure of. The 84 is my birth year, but I am not sure on why I have a 30 in front of it?

Re: Origin of User Names?
That is a GREAT song!!
My username started back in high school when I was big into breeding reptiles. Kenyan sand boas were the first snakes I was successful breeding...and breeding multiple morphs. I have yet run into the "Username is taken" message using it, so it stuck. It would be a safe bet that if you see a KenyanSandBoa on any forum or online gaming network...it's me.

Re: Origin of User Names?
aich was my nickname in high school.
When I first signed up for a yahoo account years ago, it appended my zipcode on the end. I've just kept it ever since as it was always an available choice. |
