Sorry I do not support brutality in a physical sport. I just saying he is playing good but I can never be a fan after what he did to another player.

Wings need some players back. Plain and simple. Other then the Datsuyk line there is no other option. When you have Kris Draper leading a PP unit that doesn't give me a warm cuddly feeling. In fact it's like taking a pin and putting it in my eye. Chicago came in got great goaltending from their backup and took care of business.

Series is at 2-1 for the season. I believe the next matchup is 1/17 @ the Joe. Hopefully we'll at least have Zetterburg back. Then 2 more after that both in Chicago.

Maybe we should allow ourselves to get fleeced by StubHub for one of those games in Chicago!

Great start for Budaj tonight.... Though he struggled as a number #1....he is having a Hell of a run this year backing up Anderson. 5 games in December, 6 goals against.....

What a crazy year for the Avs... Nothing like I expected.....

Hawks win 4-1 on goals by Byfuglein, Toews, Sharp, and former pride of the 'Canes, Andrew Ladd.

OO and were all tied up big boy. Of course you have one game in hand, but the Sharks have played 21 road games to your 16 road games. Also Sharks have a higher road victory % then the Hawks.

A friend and I have been lightly discussing trying to get down to Phoenix for one of the March games against the Avs.

At the start of the season, who would have guessed these games might actually mean something....

Word....many "experts" were picking the Avalanche and the Coyotes to fight it out for 15th place in the West. Now? Not so much.

No shiet man. If you would have told me the Yotes would have 50 points at this point of the season I would have taken that bet. The system implemented is working. Best of all you can tell the players are buying in cause they see the results and are keeping it going.

WTF happened to the FLyers? Talk about a bust.

Dont hate. Hell even the NHL network was talking about the road trips you guys got comming and saying you will likely drop a few as the road record is not that great. I am starting to love clown shoes BTW.

I am still not sold on the Avs. Its a nice story, but I dont know if it will hold out. The Yotes I officially believe in. I just think in the playoffs they may not hold up do to youth, but they do have some vets.

Oh, I hated before...and I will continue to hate.

And a road record of 9-5-2 ain't that great? 25 of the other teams in the NHL would kill for it. And the Hawks are 7-3 in their last 10 on the road, Sharks are 6-4.

anyone intrested in watching the USA IIHF WJ game
http://www.ndsportstalk.com/sopcast.html

Watching this I am going to spend so much time working with my kids that play on passing. Man the USA Jr. team is making continued bad passes. If not for Campbells goaltending this could be bad. Short passes over passing, passing to no one. I know I could not hang with any of these guys, but man some bad passing.

All this pond hockey hype makes me sad. My son will never get to know pond hockey. One of these days ifhe sticks with it I may end up buying him some synthetic ice. Close thing we can get to it in Cali.

Two for Madden (with help from Ladd)

Two for Kane (including the game winner with 43 seconds left.

8 point lead for the Hawks in the Central, and sole possession of 1st in the West.
