Good morning all and yes, the Killer Beans coffee has been on now for a good hour. It was good to see that the Eagles won last night with a come back in the 4th quarter. I watched the 1st quarter at Schlesinger's and just watched the video clips on-line and I'll tell you, Michael Vick is one of the best QB out there right now. It was good to see the fellas last night and hear all the news from Big Smoke. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend, gets some holiday shopping done and enjoys a couple of your favorites through out it.......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee has been on for a while now. Definitely a wintery Sunday today with flurries predicted and temps reaching 32 degrees as the high. We have a number of NFL games on the TV today and then tomorrow evening it's the Jets versus the Patriots. I'm rooting for the Jets as that is Beth's team plus I have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to New England. I hope everyone has a good one and enjoys......

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, Army / Navy week is upon us and it should be a good one. There are numerous activities all week here at West Point to include the annual Goat / Engineer game, Spirit Luncheon, Pep Rally - Bon Fire, ect. The highlight of the week will be the big game of the week next Saturday down in Philadelphia, PA. I have the prestigious honor of escorting the Honorary Captains (3 Army Medal of Honor recipients) to mid-field for the coin toss as well as all that entails. This year's 3 Army Honorary Captains are COL Jack Jacobs, COL Paul Bucha and the newest recipient, SSG Salvatore Giunta. You can read more about the actual award and how each of them received it here:

http://www.history.army.mil/moh.html

I hope everyone has a great week and gets to enjoy a few of your favorites throughout it. Go Army, Beat Navy........

Good morning all and yes, the coffee has been on for a good hour now. Well, I just checked the weather forecast for this Saturday down in Philly and they are calling for 44 and sunny. A great day to be a soldier and kick some Navy butt I say. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys......

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin' as always. Today they will play the Goat - Engineer game which is a build up to this weekend's Army / Navy Classic. Here is a little info about today's game:

Goat-Engineer game: As part of the run-up to the Navy football game, the Corps of Cadets plays the Goat-Engineer game. First played in 1907, it is a game between the "Goats" (the bottom half of the senior (Firstie) class academically), and the "Engineers" (the top half). The game is played with full pads and helmets using eight-man football rules. The location has changed over the years, with recent venues being Shea Stadium, Michie Stadium, and Daly Field. Legend states that Army will beat Navy if the goats win, and the opposite if the engineers win. In recent years, female cadets have begun playing a flag football contest, so there are now two Goat-Engineer games, played back to back the same night.

Tomorrow, we have the Spirit Luncheon at Ike Hall which is a huge pep rally and then tomorrow evening is the bon-fire / send off of the team. I hope everyone has a great day as well and enjoys a favorite cigar or two.......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. The Spirit Luncheon and bon-fire is scheduled today as part of the annual build up to the Army / Navy game. Being that it's Thursday, I'm plannin' on stoppin' by Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars this evening to enjoy a primo stogie and take in a few laughs. Beth and I will be hittin' the road in the morning in the direction of Philadelphia to enjoy this weekend's festivities. I hope everyone has a good one and enjoys it as well........

Good morning all and yes, the Killer Beans Electric Chair™ Espresso coffee is kickin'. We had a good time last night at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars enjoying primo sticks and catching up on the world news that I missed. We'll be heading out in a bit to Philadelphia to enjoy this weekend's Army / Navy festivities. I've kept my eye on the weather forecast all week and according to NOAA, they are still calling for 44 degrees and mostly sunny at game time:

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend and Go Army.........

Good morning all, we're back from Philly and the coffee is on as always. Well, it was an excellent weekend in Philadelphia as always. It was an experience of a life time being with 6 Medal of Honor recipients at the same time on and off the field. Got to meet a number of dignitaries, i.e., Commandant of the Marine Corps, Joint Chief of Staff (ADM Mullins), ect. Congrats to the Navy for winning the game and hopefully next year we get that long earned win. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee has been on now for a good hour. Woke up this morning to a nice dusting of snow outside, so I took out the shovel for the first time this year and made some noise. I'm sure those knuckleheads will be out this morning driving to the City as normal and there will be an accident here and there especially going over the mountain to work. Oh well, it happens every year until folks realize that you have to slow down when the roads get slippery. Anyway, be safe out there and enjoy......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee has been on since 0430. Well, I just checked NOAA and the are saying that today's high will be 28 degrees and breezy. I can hardly wait till the spring comes back and all this cold is behind us. Anyway, today being Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars this evening enjoying primo ceegars and talking about this past Saturday's Army / Navy game. If you're in the area and have the time, stop on by and smoke one or two with us and enjoy.........

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Well, we had a good time last night reminiscing about last weekend's Army / Navy Classic as well as enjoying a couple of primo stogies. Tomorrow will be the beginning of this year's Bowl games which is a great time to watch college football. Also tomorrow, Isy (uptown_isy) from the Uptown Cigar Company located now in West Palm Beach, FL will be up for a holiday herf at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars. We'll be starting up around 1300 (1pm) and yes, the bar will be open and the kitchen will be gettin' hot as well. I hope everyone has a great weekend, try and finish up your holiday shopping if you haven't already done so and don't forget to enjoy.......

Good morning all and yes, the Killer Beans Electric Chair™ Espresso coffee is on. Well, we are 1 week from Christmas and hopefully everyone is finishing up their holiday shopping. Today we have 3 Bowl games on starting at 1400 (2pm) and you can watch them all on ESPN. Well, today is the long awaited "Holiday Herf" at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars which will start around 1300 (1pm). I did see on Facebook that Eddie Ortega will be there as he had a cigar event last night down in Elmsford, NY. I should be a great time and I hope to see as many of you locals as possible. Anyway, we are less than a week from Xmas and I hope the holiday shopping is coming to a close for all. I'm not sure about the rest of you but I'll be working up to this Thursday and Uncle Sam gave us Friday off. I hope everyone has a great week and gets to enjoy a few favorites throughout it........
