Wings win, Wings win! Great game gonna be a real tough series. And yes that hit on Juri was brutal. A suspension better be coming. That aside go Wings!

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread
Suspension should be more than 1 game. The whole year the NHL was talking about hits to the head, and that seemed like a clear intent to injure... Glad the Wings won, though tomorrow I won't be so much of a dumbass with the times. Haven't felt that stupid in a LONG time.

Go to 1:10, and that is where they show it in slow motion. To me it looks like he leads with the forearm, and swings it while hitting. Need more angles to be 100% sure, but based on what I saw, it was an intent to injure. |

Chicago looks like a team possessed! Up 4 to 2 midway through the third period.

Hawks looked great, stole back home ice advantage...Looking forward to Games 3 and 4 in Chicago.
John. I know you're a fan, but the 'Canes were "scared chitless of getting hit by Lucic"? Seriously, this is the NHL....not too many "scared" players out there. Look for Carolina to make a series out of it.

Carolina has their hands full... but it was only one game. I think the Hurricnaes have a shot if it goes to seven. If we want the Cup, we have to beat the best. I am expecting a better game from the 'Canes tonight.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread
Joe, I am not ready to call the series over. The 'Canes scared me from the start due to the season record. Things have a way of equalizing. I expect a good and balanced series going forward.
