LOL, Paul Woods & Ken Kal.

Funny thing is on local radio, Mickey Redmond (TV color man for most Wing's games) gets more flak for being a homer.

I ain't saying the wings guys are epic homers, but uh I don't know to many announcers that can compare. I guess when your used to hoisting the cup the people expect a rosey picture.

I think Wings fans will be happy again tonight though regardless of the announcers.

There is no doubt Ken Holland is pure genius, his wings since who knows when will be the closest thing we will ever get to a dynasty team again.

I watched the recap on NHL on the fly and the Sharks looked good. Niemi had some big saves too.

I watched the game on TiVo after my game....Niemi kept them in it in the 1st, and SJ dominated the rest of the way.

By the by, my team is hotter than any NHL team, 10-1-1 in our last 12.

Niemi played a great game. Wings couldn't keep up the pace. I thought the Wings dominated the 1st period and after that it looked like they put cement in their skates. All while the Sharks kept playing at a high pace. The Heatly to Thorton goal was very nice.

Price just needs no competition, if he has a solid backup it will get to his head that he will lose the job, its been like that his whole career even non-nhl.

I only caught the third period and it wasn't pretty. SJ was getting 2/3 of the loose pucks. Not what I'm used to seeing out of the Wings this season. Babcock said it best (paraphrased), "We got out worked in the 2nd and 3rd.".

Hawks face one of the hottest teams in the West tonight without Kane and Hossa. Coach Q changed his mind and will start Crawford instead of starting Turco against his old mates. I hope Corey is ready tonight.

Good luck Tom.
The Sharks get the Flyers and a chance to break their win one loose one trend. Not feeling confident

At least Niemi is starting to find his form, now you need some healthy D, Mike.

BTW, I love the Wings announcers. All local announcers are homers to an extent, but Mickey really knows his stuff. Very down to earth and full of unique Canadian/Michigan vernacular. Ken Daniels & Mickey Redmond are my favorite. I wish they could do all the Wings games, especially when we have to suffer through some of the national guys when it comes playoff time.

I like Mickey too, Mike. I don't mind color guys being "homers", for goodness sake, that's "his" team.

Ken is fine ...except when the Wings score a goal.....that girlish "he scores" makes me cringe.

Its funny our local guys are not that bad on the radio. They often call players out. Point out errors and will often comment if a player got away with something. I prefer that. I am just not a fan of the rah rah guys.
