Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!
I see I'm not the only one that couldn't pass up last weekend's steal from CI.
I got a box of Undercrown Corona Viva's and a 15-cigar sampler for less than $3 a stick. To a bargain hunter like me that's gold, Jerry, gold!

Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!
I got these for my bday that is coming up on the 28th (turning 30!). The Padron and Davidoff were the actual treats, I was just trying the rest out. The Padron was very nice and tonight I will have the Davidoff. I am sending my friend out to get me a cheap torch so I don't have to be a shitbag anymore with a bic Last edited by Byaah; 08-22-2014 at 07:54 PM. Reason: I suck at linking pics. |

Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!
Great haul! I have never tried them but with all the great reviews I was ready to pick up a box too. I tried to convince the wife I needed the Undercrown deal but she shot me down. I even tried to explain how it would actually save money in the long run because I wouldn't need to buy more sticks. Alas, it didn't work. I will have to see what they have this weekend.

Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!
I haven't posted on here for a long time, but have recently had a renewed interest in cigars. I was in Deadwood on a motorcycle trip and picked these up. The Tabac Especials were freebies for a promotion that they had for buying their house brand.

Made it to one of the B&Ms here in Terre Haute earlier and made it two the other two today one was ok the other was well below average. Came out with these two.
Also, they had a box of dirty rats $16 a piece. They are still too much for me but if anyone is looking for some let me know.

Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!
These arrived last week....they are called Mr X.......no real info on them, but they come from Cigar Federation and they don't play around when it comes to sticks:
Here is the info from the site: The Mr. X is a cigar that we had to move heaven and earth to bring you. Literally, a deal had to be stuck in a smoke-filled back room to make this happen. Here’s the story… While on a previous trip to Nicaragua, our group visited a particular factory owner for dinner—which was an acquaintance at the time, but has since become a better friend. Wanting always to impress, this gentleman pulled cigars from his coat pocket after the meal and announced we were about to smoke his new favorite blend. First light. Amazing! Second puff. Memorizing! We hounded him through the first half of the cigar for the story behind this magnificent blend. Relenting, he told us in very vague terms that this was his variation of a blending project with another company. They had chosen a slightly different recipe, but that he thought this one—his blend—was much more refined. In fact, he liked it so much that he had several hundred rolled for his personal humidor. The rest of the cigar was spent begging him for a bundle to bring home. But that was met with a chuckle, a dismissive wave of the hand and a shaky promise in broken English of “maybe next time you visit if any are left.” When we launched the Factory Direct Boutique program, I called him up wanting to feature some of the great cigars we’d smoked months before. After weeks of negotiation via email and phone, I took another trip to the factory where he finally agreed but with a long list of conditions. What’s the factory? Can’t tell you. What’s the blend? No clue. Other than it’s Nicaraguan. Who’s the man? I’d have to kill you. So at long last, we are pleased to make this Mr. X available to you. Get them before he changes his mind, cuts off our supply, and keeps these for himself.

Curious about those Jericho Hill smokes. Mickey, you will have to tell us how you like them.
