It's hard on the knee ligaments/tendons, Greg. It is basically good for competing bodybuilders who need crazy separation/striation in their quad muscles, but not for your average lifter just trying to gain muscle or functional strength.

Have to get the gym early tomorrow, Hawks Finals tickets on sale at Noon.

Guess my legs workouts are going to increase, along with cardio.

I've also heard, squats are not good for your knees but I still do them.

Could have been worse, Jay. Glad you're okay. Just a couple weeks, won't kill you.

Sitting at work with a bag of ice on my left shoulder. It popped at the gym, really popped, and I am just being cautious. Funny thing is, I have probably 50-60% better range of motion now than I have had in weeks, so I may have actually helped it in the long run....loosened an impingement or broke some scar tissue or something. I think I will have a better idea tomorrow, but am hoping for the best.

Yup, hope it's not anything more than some ice and rest.

Went in a did some back and arms today. elbow felt it while doing some triceps so I called it a day, at least it was my last or 2nd to last exercise. Back felt great though. Gonna take a couple days off to rest this elbow, or just do legs on Monday...

Not sure how I am going to feel tomorrow, or if lifting is going to hurt (or even be possible right away), but I have been icing and stretching my shoulder all day, and am able to get my left arm straight up over my head for the first time in almost a year. Could I have broke/fixed my shoulder?

Back day yesterday, felt pretty good. Elbow was okay. Love the feeling of a sore back.

Today was a push day, had to reduce the weight and the reps due to the elbow. Kept everything under 8 reps. Skipped the tricep as well. Think I will take this whole week off as far as push exercises.

Legs and plyo tomorrow and Friday. Maybe it'll be better come Saturday.

Scheduled day off today, and have a game late night. Not sure if I am going to take one more day off tomorrow to let the shoulder heal a little more...I am leaning towards that now.

Think this thread needs a healthy dose of Ben Gay...

Last wo was on Sat 6/1 and all week prior to this the right inside forearm and lower bicep had been revealing achiness and stiffness with some dull pain. Took Monday through Wednesday and iced the area twice a day. Was going to take today off as well, but said "screw it" and hit the garage after a good 50min walk with the dawg:

Standing reverse curls x5/8reps
Standing bicep curls x5/8reps
Standing french press x5/8reps

Standing upright row x5/8reps

Standing press x5/8reps

Really needed to push through the pain this morning as the first few sets in the rev curls and bicep curls were tough, but did it. Now, where did I put that bag of ice

Did back today, first time since my shoulder popped out doing it last week. Kept relatively light, and stopped a rep short of failure every set...it was just in my head, didn't want to feel that again.

Barbell Rows to 265
T-Bar Rows to 245
Cable Rows to 240
Pullups (bodyweight).

Good to know I am not injured with a sprain or tear, but a little unnerving knowing the joint is not completely stable yet.

Shoulders today. Elbows felt so so, had to keep the reps a little low.

DB presses 4x5
Cable upright rows ---- cable front raises 4x6
DB side raises ---- db front raises 4x6
DB shurgs 4x15 (tried placing the db to the front as well as the side)

Did a double today, legs, shoulders, arms and abs so I could nurse the hangover I know I will have tomorrow.

Only fallout from popping my shoulder out last Saturday is that I can't train biceps very intensely, think I must have sprained the tendon that ties in the left shoulder and bicep.
