Smoked an Opus X Reserve d'Chateau last night that a friend gifted me at the B&M on Tuesday.

After my recent good experience with a Opus X Belicoso XXX recently, I had high hopes for the Reserve. Was not to be, it had none of the subtle tones (like black cherry) nor smoothness the Beli had. I was disappointed, and certainly glad I didn't have to drop the scratch for this one. I'll go back to the Beli or something small next time I get the Opus urge.

From TheTraveler and the August lottery winnings comes this bad boy, a CAO Extreme.

This cigar is a first for me but it’s damn good. CAO is making great cigars again I see!!!! Lots of rich ligers giving off pepper, maybe a bit of charred wood lingering on the palate. It’s a rich oily cigar and really great for the Full body lovers.

Smoked an OpusX 20th. It's the only one I've had, but based on this one, I still prefer the standard Opus over these.

Last night I smoked a Viaje Friends and Family.

Tonight it’s a Cigar given to me by AV8TOR152D from the October lottery. Tonight Cigar is a Tatuaje Black. I smoked about 20 of the 2013 release Blacks in the corona gorda size and while I enjoyed that release, it was one of the Nicaraguan cigars that in my opinion, rolled off with age.

This particular release has everything I loved in a fresh 2013 Tatuaje Black being an oily, pepper tingle on the lips, sweet leather and an espresso quality to the bite and tingle. Note, about 4 hours ago I actually drank espresso so that might taint my palate.

I am thoroughly enjoying this cigar!
