Victory Festbier (their oktoberfest). Had a couple at a local restaurant last night and will be picking up a case! If anyone lives out near the Philly area then you know about Victory Brewing Co. They make one heck of an oktoberfest brew!

That's one of my favorite DFH offerings

Mt. Begbie Tall Timber Ale I had a powerhouse Pale Ale from the same brewery last night with an Oliva Serie V torpedo and it was equally delicious.

Been enjoying DFH Punkin all week and finally tried my sixer of Sam's Harvest Pumpkin. The Harvest was surprisingly good, I will be looking for more.

On a side note, tried my first Stout with dinner last night Sam Smith oatmeal stout. I guess i'm not a Stout guy, man I couldn't handle that.

Not sour enough.

It was ok, smelled like it was going to be pretty sour. But the taste was leaning more towards a stout. Interesting to try, but don't think I would buy more.

Don't write off Stouts in general because of SS Oatmeal Stout, Shawn. I am a big fan of Stouts, not so much of the Sam Smith Oatmeal.

Ok Tom, I'll give them another try. Something about the one I had it was just bitter but that also could have been due to dinner. Who Knows, just seemed so damn strong.

Had a little tasting this weekend. Cigar City Big Sound - Hunahpu tasting which included all recent treatments of both beers(Bourbon, Rum, Whiskey Hunahpu & Bourbon, Rum Big Sound). Plus original versions of both beers to compare with, and an older version of bourbon treated Big Sound.

extras included a rum treated Jackie-O Oil Of Aphrodite. And some of Landhoney's homebrewed gueuze to finish it off.

What happens when the place where you are having the tasting closes? Take it outside "Florida Cracker" style by the news boxes.

Matt give his thoughts on the 19th rated beer on Rate beer.
