I thought it was good. It is not my all-time favorite bourbon, but it is very nice. It is very similar to standard maker's mark, but I thought the "toasted oak staves" made it a bit smoother. It is definetly worth picking up a bottle to add to the bourbon collection.

The store my sister works at east of Nashville got their shipment in yesterday. Have her holding two bottles for me. Hope to have them (Makers 46) in hand when she comes down to visit dad Monday!

Found a new (to me at least) liqour store near my house and they have the best bourbon collection I've seen around these parts.. I think I'm going to try that Makers 46 and pick up some Jefferson's reserve they also have the presidential select which I'm dying to buy a bottle of!

Finished off a bottle of the MM 46 last week. I almost always drink my bourbon neat, but I had to put some water in the 46 to make it drinkable. It's not that high of a proof, just seemed harsh to me. I'm not a huge MM fan anyway, and I won't be buying any more 46.

markem and I recently attended a "Cigars and Whiskey" even where they featured Bulleit Bourbon. All of the drinks that night were made from Bulleit and they also used it to flavor some of the food.

It was very nice and I found a new bourbon that I really like!

LOL!!! Have to gently heat it up with the griddle. Alternatively, hand warm it in a brandy sniffer works as well!

Picked up a bottle of Maker's 46 yesterday while at Total Wine (saving that for EPIC III)...

and also a bottle of Paddleford Creek Bourbon.

Anybody experienced with this Paddleford Creek?

We have a ton of Makers 46 here. I have not tried it yet - but I feel like it is just a marketing scheme to "age" bourbon faster. Oak staves in oak barrels... I suppose I'm a traditionalist. Never been a fan of Makers or Woodford. Overpriced and overrated IMO. Much better bourbon for the price.

Out of curiosity, which bourbon do you prefer at that price point? I'm not trying to start something on here; I'm just curious as to another bourbon fan's opinion to see if there is something out there that I haven't tried yet.

I prefer Bulleit or Knob Creek both are in the same price range as Gentleman Jack.
