On a side note Murph, that timeshare at Ocean Pointe is open again, I wouldn't mind heading back down to WPB

If you go that route, seek out the HD model. That is the one I got for my wife. It is a heavier gun with less recoil than the standard model. My wife has great control with it.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Has that completely replaced the p232? I had a line on a used P232 a while back when my wife was starting to look at getting her CCW.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
went to cabelas yesterday to get some ammo to shoot my 9mm at the range yesterday. they only had one type in stock, didn't think too much of it saw it was 115g 9mm luger so i snagged a few boxes... oops. Opened them up and they are the nylon jacketed ones. FML these things shoot dirtier then ANYTHING i've ever shot including my hand loads and are inaccurate as all hell. At first I thought it was me since I haven't shot in awhile. I took out a box of my normal rounds i shoot and nope, definitely the nylon jacketed rounds just being junk. Not to mention the kick on them was SIGNIFICANTLY more then normal 115g 9mms. lesson learned.. never buying those again even if they are the only thing on the shelf.

That is a nice one too, close to the PPK in appearance, I was just correcting on the one I felt was the best little .380 out there, like a mini 1911.

I was just at Sportsman Warehouse and they had pallets of 9mm in 250 round bricks. I picked up a couple hundred rounds just for the heck of it

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Spent a few hours at the gun show this morning, got to check out lots of new possible CCW weapons. Both the XDS and M&P subcompact offerings felt odd in my hand. I played with a Colt new agent 1911, wasn't too crazy about the sighting system, and there wasn't much in the 3" 1911s that I couldn't live without. The two guns that really fit my hand and felt natural were the HKs. The USP compact felt great in the hand, as did the P2Ksk. The P2Ksk felt easier to conceal and I was able to talk the guy down to below any NIB price I saw online so I walked out of the gun show with this (and a box of hornady critical defense ammo).

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I plan on carrying it, I'm still working on get my CCW, i've heard crossbreed is the one to get, i'm still exploring my options.
The .40 isn't as bad as I thought it would be, its going to take some getting used to before I get as accurate as I want to be. I'm also heading to the range as we speak haha

Hey all you 1911 dudes... Looking to pickup a 1911 soon and to be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the choices out there? Kimber? Springfield? Para Ordinance? My head is spinning..... What do y'all carry?
