I won't be watching the whole Wings game. Gotta wake up early tomorrow. DVR is recording it though

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Wow, five years ago today Thornton was traded to the Sharks. I have always liked the guy and I'm sure the Sharks have.

To say our D looked like crap is putting it nicely. Hell the kids had issues even getting it out if their zone. That was uuuuuuuuugly. O well atleast I expected it.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
They mentioned it at the game that this has happened at the HP Pavilion before. I believe they said in '95 a Wings/Sharks game was postponed or delayed due to a power issue. Not sure of any others.
I watched the first two periods. Went to be around midnight. Wings stretched it to a 2 goal lead just before the second intermission. Fun to watch if you're a Wing's fan, the passing was fantastic. That said I think Mike was right, the young D-men of the Sharks made some of those pretty passes possible.

Good find. I wish I could have gone to the first one in Chicago. I watched it on TV, but it must have been great to be there.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
It was awesome! My boss gave me two tickets for Christmas.
Here's the pre-game with Tony Esposito, Denis Savard, Stan Makita and Bobby Hull. They even brought out some Cubs. On the right is Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg and Billy Williams. Have a great time at the Winter Classic. |
