Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Well, the Yankees beat the Royals yesterday 12 - 6 after a 2 1/2 hour rain delay. They'll start their road trip tonight taking on the Indians at 1905(7:05pm). Also a big congrats to Jamie McMurry for winning the Brickyard yesterday and only the third driver in history to win the Daytona 500 the same year. Here's a picture of Jamie and the crew kissin' the Bricks: http://www.nascar.com/
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a few of your favorites through out it......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is finally on. First day of vacation, Beth and I are planning a cruise on the Hudson River today. Well, the Yankees lost last night 4 - 1 and hopefully they turn that around this evening with a "W". A.J. Burnett will be pitching tonight for the Bombers as the game starts at 1905(7:05pm). Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's day two of my stacation. We had a great time yesterday taking the Hudson River Cruise out of Kingston on the Rip Van Winkle http://www.hudsonrivercruises.com/. We had lunch at Rosita's http://www.rositasonline.com/ and after the cruise, we went over to the Mariner's Harbor for a couple of cold ones and some fresh seafood from the raw bar http://www.marinersharborny.com/mariners/. Finished off the evening with an 03' Opus X Petitte Lancero which was smooth as silk. It was good to see the Yankees beat the Indians 8 - 0 and the two teams will play one more this evening at 1905(7:05pm) again. Today, I'm planning on driving down to Barrister Cigars in Union, NJ for a fund raiser to benefit The Steve Faccenda Children’s Education Fund. Here is a cut and paste from an email I received yesterday:
Meet Tim Ozgener at The Barrister

Join CAO President Tim Ozgener for a very special evening at The Barrister tomorrow, July 29. Tim will be in-store from 4-10 pm as CAO partners up with The Barrister to raise funds to benefit The Steve Faccenda Children’s Education Fund.

Steve Faccenda, a regional sales manager, was a beloved member of our CAO family for over four years and was known and loved throughout the cigar world. Steve recently lost his hard-fought battle with cancer, passing away on May 29, in Dover, New Jersey. Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah Gifoli, and their three children, Steven Jr., Tim, and Taryn.

In return for a $40 charitable donation, you will receive a CAO 3-pack containing a CAO La Traviata, CAO LX2, and CAO Vision, along with a CAO Cutter and matches. There will also be raffle prizes throughout the evening. Come out, meet Tim, and help support a worthwhile cause.

The Barrister
2565 Route 22 West
Union, New Jersey 07083
(908) 964-3000

I hope everyone has a great day and hopefully I see a few of the local S/BOTL from the area there.......

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. I had a great time yesterday at the Barrister and it was good to see Tim O. as always. They raised quite a bit for the Children's Education Fund and it was great to have Steve's wife in attendance along with the three kids. As I was driving home from New Jersey, I had the Yankees game on. The Bombers went from a 2 -1 game and by the time I got home, it was 9 - 1. The final score was 11 - 4 and I'm sure the stands were pretty empty by the 8th inning. This weekend New York is taking on the Rays down in Tampa Bay and this evening it will be Phil Hughes startin' for the Yanks at 1905(7:05pm). Also this weekend, the NASCAR racers are at the Pocono Raceway where Beth and I will be headin' tomorrow thru Monday. We have the pleasure Sunday morning of escorting the Color Guard from West Point to present the National Colors at the start of the Pocono 500. It should be a memorable time and I hope that the weather cooperates. Currently there's a slight chance of rain for Sunday and I hope it stays that way. I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys it as well......

Good morning all and yes, the Killer Beans coffee is on. Well, we are taking off shortly for the Poconos and the slight chance of rain has now turned to a chance of rain. Either way, we're going in and hopefully they start the race on time. If it gets rain delayed, I'm off till Wednesday, so we'll go back to the track on Monday and watch it then. On another note, the Yankees lost last night 3 - 2 and now the Rays are only one game behind. The two teams will play again this evening at 1910(7:10pm) and A-Rod is still at 599 homers. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys......

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Beth and I are back from the Poconos and we had a great time. We got to walk up and down pit road, drive on the track, see every driver before and after driver introductions and sit in seats right on top of pit wall road. It rained a little bit prior to the race which delayed the start but once the green flag flew, it didn't show again until there was about 25 laps to go. At that time there was a bad accident, so between the clean up and rain delay, we made it to a restaurant right down the road. I see that the Yankees are now tied for 1st place with the Rays as the Bombers lost last night 8 - 6. We are headin' down to the Bronx this afternoon to catch the game this evening as long as the thunder storms hold out. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys a favorite stogie or tow.......

Good morning all, the coffee is on and T.G.I.F. It seems that the humidity has finally broken as I'm not dripping wet at 0500(5am). Here is the forcast from NOAA for the next 5 days:

Sports wise, we have the boys from Bean Town (Red Sox) visiting this weekend, the NASCAR drivers are upstate in Watkins Glen, NY and the New York Mets are in the city of brotherly love - Philadelphia. I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend and gets to smoke a couple of your favorites through out it......

Hopefully the bounce back today with a "W" as C.C. Sabathia thows the first pitch for the Bombers at 1610(4:10pm). There will be NASCAR Nationwide Series racing today at the Glen starting at 1330(1:30pm) and then this evening the Craftsman Truck Series will be down at Nashville Superspeedway racing starts at 2030(8:30pm). The Bombers have one more game in this series with the BoSox starting at 1405(2:05pm). We have Phil Hughes taking on Jon Lester which is a pretty good pitching duel. Also yesterday, Juan Pablo Montoya won the NASCAR race up here in Watkins Glen, NY. Congrats to him and the entire Earnhardt Ganassi Racing team. Good morning all and yes, thank god that the coffee is on as I stayed up to watch the end of last night's Yankees game which was outstanding. . The Bombers beat the Royals 4 - 3 which gave C.C. Hopefully they bounce back tonight with a "W" against the Tigers with a start time of 1905(7:05pm) in Detroit.
