Re: Would you try human flesh?
My Russian teacher in college grew up during WW2, and said she remembered people trying to sell "meat" that was widely suspected to be human flesh.

My butt itches real hard, and the first person who makes a joke about "eating" it gets a 2 week ban.

Re: Would you try human flesh?
I'd try it. I don't think I could eat one of those big black beetles, though. If my survival was at stake, and I'd already eaten Darrell, the big black beetles would definately move way up on the menu.

Re: Would you try human flesh?
Scott, you appear to be the first person to admit that you'd try it (which I find interesting...you'd think there is a stigma or something). I'm in the yes column as well. Of course that is easy to say without a plate of it in front of me. As long as the person wasn't killed/raised for food, I don't see a problem. I wouldn't eat the brains or any major nerve centers though (I don't want kuru or any other prion).

Re: Would you try human flesh?
But there has been a problem with the labels and the date stamps are not always readable.

I even ate liver and onions when I was a kid and actually liked it. I like pickled heart and pig's feet, or at least I used to. It's red meat. If we're eating said person in the tropics, it's likely to be very lean. Odds are I won't like it because I like well-marbled meat. It'd be too dry for me. But I can't see why I wouldn't try it. I've tried a lot worse than a slab of red meat. Sweet Potatoes, for instance.
