The one here just has the Ronson fuel (which I've used without issue in several of my Jet Lites).

They are mostly colibri name brand as well. However like many have mentioned here and in other threads, the 2 - 4 dollar ronson is one of the absolute most reliable lighters you can get as well as one of the cheapest. I have a Xikar that I also really enjoy, however the double flame goes through too much butane for my liking when I'm smoking smaller ring gauges.

Pick one up if you get the chance and give it a shot. You may be very surprised.
I have to be honest with you. The best lighter I own was one I bought on a discount table at a local B&M for $10. It is a Colibri Firebird. It is darn near indestructible. I have had it for as long as I can remember and I've been smoking cigars for at least 15 years.

Ok, ok, I'll bite on this and give my

Xikar NXT. The customer service from Xikar is second-to-none (not to mention the lifetime warranty) and I'm a huge fan of single-torch lighters above that of the dual or triple flame. Why, you're probably wanting to ask? (or not lol) It's simply because when I'm toasting the foot of my cigar, too many sources of flame-age will not only toast the foot, but scorch the sides as well.

Now if you're on a budget, let me echo the sentiments of every other BOTL and his mom who has posted the same thing and recommend the Ronson Jetlite. They're $2.94 at the local Walmart here and you're lucky they're out because I just checked before posting this as I was gonna bomb your arse with one!

Tim (smokeyscotch) handed me one at a herf in Birmingham two or three years ago and I've never been the same. I miss seeing Tim around here, but I'll never forget that act of kindness. Sorry to get sentimental, but has anyone heard from him lately?

Yeah I had a ronson but somehow it got lost somewhere, haven't found one sense but I use to light up A LOT of cigarettes with it. It was great for highway chain smoking.

Bill, I gotta come clean and admit....I heard you were using my favorite cigar lighter for *cringe* cigarettes, and I had to take it from you and give it to someone who wouldn't abuse it any longer.

What, no love for Caran d'Ache? It will be the best couple thousand dollars you spend, lol.

Honestly I have to go with Xikar because of their warranty and their customer service. If you still need something cheaper but with a lifetime warranty, check out Jetline. I dont know how their customer service is though.

So that's where it went! I lost so many cheap cutters and lighters I thought the interstate was eating them. I figure I'm done about 20-50 bics, 2 ronsons and 3-5 cheap cigar cutters. Oh and probably a zippo or two.

Lots of folks use these too, I have had one for about a year now and it is also very dependable. Holds a bunch of fuel and good flame. Only negative is the fuel adjustment valve is not too precise but works ok. Cheap solution to outdoor cigar smoking:

No, usually only found at B&M's or Online. My local B&M sells a 320 ml can for $7.95. They sell it at a lot of online shops, also at Amazon.com.

I agree, go and test some and see which one fits you the best. But as an suggestion I have both a xikar and Rocky Patel, both of which has pull out cigar punches on them and lifetime warranties. Couldnt be happier with either.
Hope you pick out a good one man, update us on what you decided to go with.

My tastes aren't nearly sensitive enough to notice a difference if I use a Zippo and it's hard to beat a Zippo for reliability.
