No pics, but I picked up some Founders Bastard Ale and some more Lion Stout last night. The wife picked up some Guinness 250, New Belgium Hoptober, and Kalamazoo Stout today. Oh how I love her.

Picked up a 4 pack of Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale, and a "gift pack" of Hobgoblin English Brown ale, which came with a 550ml bottle of ale and a pint glass with the Hobgoblin label etched into the glass. For $8.99 I would have bought more if they had more than the one on display.

I was at the Sam Adams Boston Brewery on Monday and picked up one of each of the new Barrel Room Collection. Right now that's the only place you can buy them. There are three styles in the collection a Kriek, a Belgian Blond, and a Belgian Red. It's hard to tell from the picture but these are 750ml bottles (they better be I paid $10 each for them!). I think I'm going to age them a while before cracking them open.

Sweet hauls guys. Love the Chimay, and I'm hoping those new SA bottles show up in MN before too long.

From the press release:

The Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection beers are available for purchase at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and will be available at select retail locations in Massachusetts, Denver, Colorado, Maine and New Hampshire for a suggested retail price of $9.99 per 750ml bottle in the near future.

I would have but there was a three beer per person maximum.

Also, considering it cost me $32 for the three I wasn't buying anymore anyway. They're very good beers but for an extra $6 on top of that I can buy an entire case of Dogfish 60 minute.

My understanding is that these are REALLY limited edition and even once the bottles make it out to the other cities listed above they'll be REALLY hard to find. I guess it's just a good excuse to come to Boston, take a tour of the brewery, and buy some beer.

I made a beer run today for one of our brothers on the East Coast. He wants some local MN brews he can't get back East. While at the shop I picked up this mixed 6'er for myself. Looks mighty tasty.

Just bought a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada Celebration for $12.99. Great price for a great beer.
