Re: Finally
Jane and I left for the shack today. Not coming back till Friday.
Picked the floor coverings last week (tile for humi and tile that looks like wood for SR). The electrical is all roughed in and they installed the 4 fans on Tuesday. Today they started spraying the foam insulation so it was time to go. Should get the final drawings from the cabinet maker for approval on Monday. Drywall starts on Friday. Janes out of town this coming weekend so I'll post some pics.

Re: Finally
Going to replace the stairs to the basement. When they opened up the wall there was space so we made a little cubby and put a light in it.
Gas mask storage for the girls?

Re: Finally
Ended up installing 3 - 400 cfm "whisper quiet fans. Limited space they had to fit in the rafters. Have room in the old widow for more but going to see how this works. Spread out over 5 or so feet seems to draw pretty well.

Re: Finally
From inside the walk-in. All electrical is roughed in. Closed cell foam on walls and ceiling is cured and they put up the green-board next week.

Re: Finally
Cabinet and shelving design.
Double shelf is second shelf that pulls out another 16" to set boxes on as needed for digging. Or more room to stack if necessary.

Re: Finally
Good to see you!
It's in the basement. In the past basement has always been in the high 60's winter and summer. We insulated the heck out of it so I'm not sure what the future holds. No HVAC ducts or returns in the Walk in. No returns in the smoke room. Made a provision in the utility closet (Pic below) where the reverse osmosis system goes (low by the water and drain in pic) to be able to vent and drain an AC unit if required. Humidification device is inside the walk in in the corner - Rev osmosis system is in this closet, water piped thru the wall to the humidifier. Going to have a shelf half way up in the closet where the ac unit would go if needed with ducting out into the corner shelving area of the walk in.

Re: Finally
and....
Happy with how the little cubby on the stairs is turning out. It's a place that lil Gerry could sleep over in.
