In no particular order, and just like my top 5 cigars, this could change on any given day:
1) Cinderella Man 2) The Hustler 3) Slapshot 4) Caddyshack 5) Field of Dreams Sorry, I'm a Paul Newman mark.

Re: Your Top 5 Sports movies
A few glaring omissions so far!
A little shocked no one has put "When We Were Kings" on their list. And on the comedy side, no mention of "King-pin" And what, no love for the Sly Stallone arm wrestling classic "Over The Top"

And they call me a joke!
Speaking of which, what about Tin Cup? If nothing else, it's one of the few Costner films not costnerized to death.

Re: Your Top 5 Sports movies
Gleaming the cube, is a great cheese 80s skater film. Riding Giants is easily the best sports film I have ever seen. I am not a surfer, but that movie really makes you want to get into it. Ping pong(Japan) is also a really good sports movie. Masters of stone 5 I a really great way to see the hard men who really pushed the limits of rock climbing. Lastly I would say any warren miller film from the early 80s. Really great skiing, and no lame pc sensorship of his humor.
