In the next few months C&C will make their watches with an automatic movement instead of a battery. Their smallest one is 50mm. The large one is 57mm.

I bought a couple new watches since I last posted in this thread. I need to take some pictures and share.

Looking fwd to it Dan. Automatics are just a little bit different in a fun way. I just had a Boschett Cave Dweller arrive last Tuesday and it's been on my wrist ever since.

Swatch has a new repeater for around $150 that is quite a deal.

The watch I ordered today has a ETA movement in it which e-man67 told me is a good movement. I don't know much about watches, but he is being a good buddy and teaching me.

I did order a cheap automatic skeleton watch for $50 the other day on 1saleaday.com just for the heck of it. It has a Chinese or Japanese movement in it or something. I just liked the way it looked.

I love watches and of my dozen or so my faves are my Rolex Submariner 2 tone w/ blue face and bezel (it's pretty much my daily piece) I also have a Breitling Datora SS w/ white face (a nice summertime watch. Looks great with a tan and white clothing) Those two are my best watches and most of the other stuff I own are funky pieces that I wear for special occasions. The Hamilton "Ventura" is a cool watch from the late 50's that got re-issued a number of years ago and made popular by the "Men in Black" movie (it was part of the official "uniform) It's a cool formal piece as it is unique yet understated.

One watch I like to wear at night is the "Pimp"... yeah, the name is awful, but it's a cool watch to wear once in a blue moon... It actually is done with blue LEDs that light up to display the time like an abacus. Every two minutes it's does a cool "Whirlpool" cycle of all the LEDs and freaks some people out. It looks more like something out of a sci-fi movie.

They (and dozens of other unconventional watches are sold at www.tokyoflash.com)

You can never go wrong with a nice old vintage LED. I found a mint 1973 Pulsar P3100 through a watch forum about 10 years ago and it is a ton of fun to wear. Very "retro"

Kenneth Cole make a few nice inexpensive yet very elegant pieces and the new high-end Citizen watches are gorgeous with amazing movements and fantastic contstruction.

I have a lot of friends who worship TAG and they've never been my cup of tea. Omegas are awesome and Tissot make some nice ones too.

Then there are dozens of ultra high-end watches that I (like most mere mortals) can only dream about.

Fakes? Well, that exactly what they are... it's better to wear a $300 Seiko than a $300 copy of a $20,000 watch. That's my opinion anyhow.

You could've (I do not know what your ordered) had both ETA movement and skeleton dial with for an attractive price. Since Swatch owns ETA, you getting the movement for like nothing. Under $150.00! Just ribbing you a little. I love what Swatch can does; it's amazing and now they really have some value for the money.

The Skeleton that I bought is an Akribos. Have you heard anything about the brand? I don't care if it breaks in a year or so b/c I got it for $50

Can you get a nice watch for $200 or under? My daily is a cheapo Kenneth Cole Reaction that I got from Kohls. I love nice watches but know NOTHING about them. I like them big and stainless gold or titanium. No leather or rubber bands for me.

For sure you can, but not in Titanium or gold. I bought an Orient Automatic, Invicta also has some nice stuff under $200.

Check out ShopNBC.com, they have a good selection of Invictas and Androids, if you catch them doing a sale you can buy some real bargains.
