Congratulations Alabama! Great win and great game. Almost as good as the Saints whipping the Patriots the other night.
All Hail the great and wonderful Saban. A lot of people may hate him, but he is a great coach.

Well, GGainey, it got alot worse later, but I couldn't edit after 15 mins. I was too busy trying
to keep in mind that it was a SEC thread, not a religion thread. If you like, I could PM you my thoughts on the big three in the downfall of the US: Political Correctness, grave overuse of credit, and the lack of tolerance by the religious. |

my post had nothing to do with religion, I was referring to CA members and more specifically the ones in this thread. If you want bash the three things you consider the downfall, go ahead and I could prolly agree with you on some things. In answer to your offer to PM me I'll pass, I already get all of your opinions I can stand. It seems to me that you spend a lot of time trying to provoke people into an argument, most folks ignore you and after this post I shall go back to doing that myself. I prolly shouldn't have even got drawn in in the first place, but I did. So I M done. |

Is it so you look like a good guy for putting a wink in with a bash rather than just bashing? You should feel free to bash me full on without the pretense if you feel that way about me. In fact, if you are going to bash me, do it without the BS smileys, so no one is confused. |

and that I had taken pains (and too much time)to edit myself to be cognizant of the fact that there was no room in the thread for a long explanation of why I dislike zealots. For some reason you took that to be some kind of challenge to you. I only said that you were welcome to hear it in private if it interested you, but that I intended to shut up about religion. I only replied so that your comments could be addressed. Did I react angrily in that reply to you capping on me? no. |

Dear SEC, please keep Les Miles away from the Texas sidelines, I think he tried to manage our clock at the end of the game last night.
Thanks, Signed - Longhorn Nation PS - Congrats to Bama, this is the MNC game I've wanted to see for 2 years now |

Brings Back Memories Of The Old Rivalry Between "The Bear" & Texas. I Have Mixed Emotions On This One. I'm A Texas Alum, But Both My Kids Went To BAMA & I Live There. I Think Texas Has An Unblemished, Perfect Record Against BAMA In Championship Games. Think I'll Have To Go With BAMA On This One, Since Texas Won The National Championship More Recently!

Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
Thankfully, we were all treated to a double header preview of the supposed championship game,
and Texas just did not show me that they can beat the Tide. I turned it off mid 2nd and watched a movie for about 45 mins, turned it back on and the damn score had not changed. I was thinking JEEZus! And I had to laugh myself, at the end, seeing that clock issue. man that must have sent Bo Pellini into the stratosphere! It was a fair addition to the clock, but oh, MAN, how does THAT feel, Bo? |

32 days is a long time for two teams to prepare. I expect a good game, or least better clock management |

But even being a fair-minded individual, I have to say you need to go back to the drawing board and select another example. Year after year, Mizzou makes fans forget that they are really just another run of the mill good football team. The best in any other conference still has trouble with good or middle-level SEC teams. That's not SEC fan bravado, that is statistical and empirical fact. Ask Ohio State. I think the game will be a good one to watch, but don't expect the 'horns to do much against Alabama. Maybe global warming will bring parity to the NCAA. All kidding aside, if anyone can do it, I think Texas is best suited. I still do not see it happening, but you are right. When I think about 32 days, I mostly think about it from the standpoint of that being intolerably long for ME TO WAIT. How about today's game, Saints haters??
