Starting the week at 225 this morning. It's the lightest I've been on a Monday. Weekend food splurges feel good at the time.

Same Sunday-Thursday routine but added some leg lifts to get some lower ab work last few days. Tummy hurts this morning.

Me posting in this thread is like the "new guys" posting about their love of Gurkhas in the general forum.

You gotta start somewhere, right

Shoulders and chest for me today.. I'm getting stronger just hoping that relates to some size gains. I've always judged it by the size shirt I wear. Hoping to get into all XL's by winter time

I need to get myself back into shape.
Last night was supposed to be the first night of my new routine, but I went home with a bad headache. Somehow I still managed to have couple beers and a cigar though.
I will start the workout tonight, unless...

Milestone. Finally got below 220 ..... 219.8 tonight.

4.8 lbs to go then need to figure out how to stay there and have a normal life.

Not uncommon to level out a little bit above the target goal, but nothing wrong with that, talking about a few lbs. Awesome job on the achievement though, Dave

Make what you are doing now the "normal life" and you're all set. Have you ever had your hormone levels tested and evaluated?

Thats the issue. What I am doing is meant to:

Get fitter and lose weight.

At 215 need to shift to staying fit but dont need to lose more weight. ASs experienced in the past it was easy to slip into the gradual weight gain. Need to continue to exercise but eat sensibly but more normal calorie counts.

The combination of cardio on the weekend, plus double cardio on Sunday seems to have helped get me a little nudge in this long journey. Didn't have to spend the first couple of days losing what was gained over the weekend.

216.4 this morning. 1.4 pounds from the goal weight of 215. Think its time to revise the goal again... 210 it is.

Trying to hit the 215 before I leave for the long weekend on Thursday. Hope not to come back "significantly heavier" but ya gotta have your priorites and the 4th is our big holiday at the lake.

So the flight surgeon told me last week that I have to stop doing leg workouts(ones that work my quads) I might have to start physical therapy for an injury to my Quadraceps tendon where it attaches to the knee.

This really bums me out as I was really starting to like leg workouts. I was up to 700lbs on the leg press and just started getting into front squats. oh well, more time to get my bench up I guess.

Also, I saw this guy in the gym the other day wearing flip flops. I was just waiting for this guy to lose a toe.

Spent $ 360 on 38 shorts at Dicks just now. Not a stretch relatively neutral/loose fit. Thought about 36's but .... could be a subsequent reward the the program goes further than intended.
