Flying Fish Exit 9 "Hoppy Scarlet Ale". A really really good beer. Drinks like a high quality IPA/DIPA. If FF is available in your area, I suggest giving it a try. I was impressed.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I am in a very small town in Eastern NC and went to a dance at the Armory where the Embers played. Greta time but only had Bud Light but it was served out of a keg through a cold plate draft cooler. As long as I drank fast it was half tolerable. Now I am having bourbon with my Mag 46

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
My Belgian Stout I had in the primary fermenter for 1 year (yes I know...). Was boring after 1 month, then forgot about it, i finally kegged it and it tastes like apples and raisins and other dark fruits, a little citrus, very sublte chocolate and roast. Very interesting. Some love it, some hate it. I'm on the fence about it. Just an experiment I did a year ago. Candi sugar, Belgian Strong Ale yeast, some belgian malts.
awsmith, how was that 2010 KBS? My buddy may have some left he is trading me for homebrew, but it's been awhile since I had a bottle. Can't wait to get some fresh KBS, just got it in not too long ago. |
