Møøse bites can be nasty

I'm slowly accumulating the parts to add to my AR, once it finally arrives. Just bought a rear flip up sight off a guy on AR15.com last night. Now bought a flip down front sight off Armslist this morning. Now to win the Vltor CASV on ebay this weekend.

Those Troy Battle rails are nice. If I ultimately don't get the Vltor, those are one of my other options.

CASV-EL
I like the sleek look of it as compared to traditional quad rails. Plus I don't have to remove the barrel nut, etc which I hear can be a real PITA on RRA's fresh from the factory.

It is sweet. That's what I was gonna go with if i kept my FSB, only the CASVM.
It's really as drop-in free float. It's a two-piece free float. I assume you'd just have to cut the delta ring off. I do agree that it's nice to not have to change the barrel nut. That's why I'm getting the Troy, it uses the stock barrel nut. |

Have a M4 front and it has the fixed sight. So I have to cut the sight if I want to go with a rail more than 7"?

yes. you'll either have to cut it above the gas tube area and grind it down to fit under a rail, or take it off and put on a lo-pro gas block of some kind.
Depending on the rail you choose you may have to remove the barrel nut and replace it with the provided one. Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQvHdVw5eAE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfYpR6TLEMI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS_rkTnk914 |

![]() Plus side to shaving the FSB down and putting say a 15" rail like i am is you can put a flip up or fixed sight on the front basically giving you rifle length sight radius, even a lil longer, which will increase iron sight accuracy. |
