I'm not weighing in until Saturday, but I've been doing great with my eating over the last week (even managed to stay clear of free pizza, cookies, and beer at a work function!). It's been a few days since I've been to the gym, but I'll be going tonight.

My body is finally getting used to the smaller portions... good thing too, because that growling stomach was driving me crazy!

Good job resisting the temptation, Kris. You are a better man than I, as I would have given in for free pizza and beer.

Been awhile since I've checked in. School's been keeping me busy. Anyway, I've kinda hit a plateau and have been sitting around 198 for the past month or so. I admit that I got away from working out, but I fixed that this week and am back on the workout bandwagon.

Up .2 here
Guess it's better than nothing.

As camping season rolls in, I expect that I'll get more active. Let's just hope it helps.
I can't be too hard on myself, as I'm not actually on an 'official' diet plan. But I need to do something.

I am finally home and loving it!!!

The days around my travel date were not so good so I was expecting to be up a bit. I was right. I'm +1 over last week, which is still not that bad. I'm also using a different scale that I would not consider to be as accurate.

In any case, it's my new starting point as the summer season kicks in.

Weighed in this morning at 214.8

It's getting a little easier as my body's getting used to the change in eating, last night I still had 150 more calories budgeted by 10:00pm and I wasn't even hungry.

Another week at 243. No change. I know that's not bad news, but I'm starting to get frustrated.

I know its gotta be tough for ya Andy but don't do anything silly like giving up! It's not the ideal situation but every week you stay the same, thats one more week that you have kept the weight you have lost off. You know this already, but encouragement is always helpful!

I hit a major plateau when i was trying to break the 200lbs mark. I was stuck there for 5 weeks before I registered another 1lbs drop to hit 199. It was really tough mentally, but I just stuck with the exercise and tried to stay very strict with the diet and eventually my body and metabolism adapted and I started dropping again.

You will get there

Weight loss plateau's drive me crazy... Stick with it, as long as you're still doing everything you've been doing, another loss must be just around the corner . Keeping the good habits but changing your routine may help too. For me in the past I've been able to get out of plateaus by hitting the gym extra hard and/or doing something completely different at the gym than I would normally do.

I'm down to 209, which is well on my way to my first mini-goal of hitting 200lbs by my birthday in about a month!

Why does non-diet soda have to have so many calories? I really miss my (way too frequent) 1 liter Mtn Dew's

I am almost +/- 0 in the last couple of weeks (260lbs).
I stopped drinking coke last week and i went 5 times to the gym. Thats the most i have been in the last couple of years.
I am trying to go 7 times this week (4xcardio + 3xlifting). Next week i am going to do 5 x 45-50min cardio + 3 lifting workouts.
Getting up at 5.30 to do a 45 min cardio workout at 6 isnt as bad as i thought.
I also reached my benchpressing goal. I pressed 225 3 times.

Good deal for both of you. I hit the gym yesterday for the first time. Going back today to get a 6 month membership.

On Sunday my girlfriend and I made a bet: if I can fit comfortably into my 34" pants from college (wearing 36" right now) by December, she'll buy me a box of any cigars I want, and throw in some other treats. I have never been so motivated.

I'm already contemplating salad for lunch.

Fortunately she didn't realize at the time that in order for it to be a proper bet, I would have to give her something if I lose, heh.

If you happen to be going to 24hr Fitness, check out their membership deal at Costco, it's by far the best deal around that I've seen. $300/2yrs if I remember correctly, with no additional hidden costs.
