Re: First Firearm Thread.
They are.
I just waited nearly three weeks on an order but I don't mind as didn't need it in a rush. At least I feel confident they are reputable and only sell actual stock. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Actually had the chance to visit their facility and shoot in their range in Columbia.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
yeah, PSA is slow... but it will get there.. took about 4 weeks to get my upper. Looks like great quality to me. I havn't shot it, decided to go with a different upper, this one's going on gunbroker tonight, along with my used lower and BCG (listed separately though, more money in the parts it seems)....

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Decided to build a .223/.556 first since 9mm uppers are hard to find right now (well I did find a guy with a L&G upper for sale but he only wanted payment in the form of MO, no PP or bank transfers so I passed). I can take pics of the pile of parts minus upper if you'd like
I'll probably start building a AR9 after the wedding |

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Someone on Calguns posted another Spikes upper but that sold out in 5min. Looked around and found the last of this upper. Picked it up since it seemed like a good price for a complete upper.
10% isnt too bad. I can sell my spare AR15.com BCG for $200 and make back that $50 I loss on the PSA upper. Figure I checked to see if anyone here wants an upper. Hell, I even sell them my BCG and BCM charging handle for what I got it for. This is the PSA upper I ordered http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...ged-upper.html |

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Pete, no need to LOSE money on your PSA upper.
I did the EXACT same thing as you. Picked up a PSA upper first for $389 (16" carbine), then I snagged a complete "Special Ops Tactical 16" Midlength upper" (Run by former Spikes employees, GTG gear) from AIM for $510 (+ tax for me, DOH). I'm posting my PSA upper on gunbroker tonight, I expect it to sell for around $600 if recent auctions are any indication. After fees, I should GAIN $100-$175 on the sale.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Might want to buy something small first on there, get at least one positive feedback before diving into high dollar sales. Folks are naturally suspicious of newbies online (for good reason).
Alternatively, you can do what I did and reference your ebay account seller feedback page and invite folks to contact you on ebay if they had any concerns. I had a number of bidders double check my ID through ebay. Of course that only works if you have some good seller feedback on ebay

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Remember - IF HeyGal catches you processing gun parts, they can suspend your account. If you do choose to go that route, I wouldnt advertise it in your auction (just offer it after the fact), and make sure that the buyer doesn't make any references to guns when he sends payment. Since I NEED my HeyGal account for ebay, I just take checks/money orders on gun broker, and make it clear there will be a wait time for it to clear.
When making your listing, browse through a few similar listings and figure out what rules folks are applying to listings of that type. What states people won't ship ammo to, things like that. And put clear auction terms at the end - return policy, shipping policy, payment type and time frame policy, things like that. Browse through other auctions and you'll get an idea. Finally, nobody likes reading a block of text, so you're not geeky inclined, you can use an online HTML editor like this one to get something passable looking. Or at the very least, remember that you can break to the next line of text (ENTER key) with <BR> at the end http://htmleditor.in/index.html Here is an example of how I format my auctions: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=328574372 (oh yeah, and CLEAR photos are an absolute must and go a long way towards hooking buyers and convincing em that YOUR product is the one they want and not the other 10 identical ones for sale)
