This tobacco was new to me. I smoked my first bowl of this on my Grandmother's porch while watching a rainstorm roll in ..... nice.

Had a bowl of MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian. The tin was about two years old. Not really liking it all that much. I will revisit it in a couple of days.

Glad you liked it. It is one of my favorites. I stocked up on it before I moved from Massachusetts to South Carolina. They will ship the blends too. The prices are not listed on the website at the moment but I paid about $40 for a 14 oz box. It was cheaper if it is shipped outside of Taxachusetts:

http://www.owlshop.com/index2.html

The history of it goes back 40 or 50 years. One of the customers at the store was a big fan of Balkan Sobranie, but it was usually wet and the the customer had issues with mold. The owner blended up his own version of BS and left it on the dry side, like all of their blends. And it went on to become their best seller.

And FYI, try the delayed enjoyment technique on it if you are not able to finish a bowl. It brings a little sweetness to the table.
