Re: First Firearm Thread.
Is the 1/4" between shield and other two really that noticeable? I havnt had a chance to hold any of them yet as all my locals are out.

While you are looking at the shield I would look harder at the XDS .45 they are like almost identical size, I would rather have x6 .45 over x7 .40 Here is pic of my g26 compared to y xds

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Nice.
Just saw they are now introducing the XDs in 9mm. That will be a hot seller.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
To ME generally width of the pistol effects how easy it is to conceal than any other factor.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Anyone have experience with Raven Concealment holsters? I'm kinda digging the fact the Phantom can be worn OWB and IWB.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I don't. Sorry. You could probably find someone local who could make u one for cheaper. Hell, you could make one yourself. Not hard to make your own kydex holster.

I found the Glock 26/27 and the Springfield way thicker IWB than what I personally wanted and that is why I was tossed between the XDs and Shield. Ended up with Shield due to $200 difference at that point in time and fact it just felt better as was not use to 1911 style safety.

Francis. I try to get all my holsters with at least a 15* FBI cant to it. That's what my PJ holster will be. It'll be easier to get away with a pistol that has a longer grip if it's thinner though
