Question: I'm not well versed like you guys so I'm looking for a solution or three. My wife doesn't like beer in general, but she picked me up a Sam Adams variety pack the other day and drank the Chocolate Bock and liked it. What are some other brews in that vein that she would like? Thanks.

Had a Great Lake Christmas Ale and a Sam Adams Winter Lager between classes, now drinking a Founders Breakfast Stout.

A local pub just tapped a firkin of the Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA...got to get over there before it's gone...

http://www.dogfish.com/community/new...simul-cask.htm

Johnny Cask has entered the building! We've retrofitted a 15 barrel tank to perfectly produce a very special cask conditioned ale (so, we have a little time to play around during winters at the Delaware coast). This beer, known as Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute IPAs with a special whole leaf cascade dry-hopping session. Post-hopping the beer gest transferred into firkins and dosed with fresh yeast and maple syrup from the ole family homestead (actually the first batch will be re-fermented with maple syrup from the farm up the road from ours since ours won't be ready until late March. We plan to ramp up our maple house activities to get a lot more syrup for Immort Ale, 75 Minute and future beers in the coming months and years).

Cool. Thanks for the suggestions. Are either of those going to be "bitter" to the taste at all?

To me the Rouge is roasty and chocolaty but not excessively sweet; think baking chocolate. I only had the SA Choc Bock when it was in the bomber, but I think Rouge's has a similar profile. Left Hand's Milk Stout kind of sweet and creamy - I know several people who really like it who don't tend to like beer. I don't find either bitter, but I have the palate of a goat (and I like bitter - Stone Ruination = )

I agree, the ones we all mentioned have very little to no bitterness, at least to me

My about Rouges Chocolate Stout its more of a dark chocolate flavor. The Double Chocolate Stout seemed a tad lighter. Will be cracking my second/last DCS this month.

The only one I've had is Young's Double Chocolate Stout, which I really liked.
