Re: Rolling your own
Looks like I won't be getting a second mold. FedEx said I should contact the supplier and ask for a new item, or refund.
I am waiting on a call back from the company, she said she would call FedEx to see what she needed to do. Honestly, if I owned the company, I would have sent out a new mold and just expected the lost one be returned if it shows up. So I guess we are sticking with 5x50 for now. |

Is it something they can easily replace? It sounds like it. Not sure why they wouldn't just send a replacement either. |

Re: Rolling your own
They might need to hear something directly from Fedex to prevent people from receiving an item and then calling and saying it was never delivered?
Hope it all works out Andrew! Really hoping!

l l l l This...but also, I thought you had said Fedex shows receipt of the electronic info but nothing else? Anyway, hopefully they get it all figured out and you get what you need...in the mean time, I'm sure the 5x50's are great, this gives you more time to 'build up' stock!

Re: Rolling your own
Andrew, just because your new mold received a pickup scan doesn't necessarily mean FedEX actually picked it up. Typically, they would just scan one barcode with all of the parcels from the shipper linked to it and take the packages. If the driver was being careful, he would match the barcode manifest with the packages but I'm guessing at this time of the year he was probably pretty busy and missed it. That being said, if the driver scans it, FedEX owns it and is responsible for the parcel. If it did not have any more scans, they are responsible for the cost of shipping and the value of the item up to a certain amount unless it insured for a higher amount. It is the shippers responsibility to file the claim and be reimbursed for the lost product. I would think if they had any customer service whatsoever, a new mold would be on the way to you asap as it clearly wasn't delivered to you. If they can't do this, I'd contact the credit card and report it.

Re: Rolling your own
Just got together with Andrew and had some smokes. I had a one of his Connecticuts, it was delicious. I can't write a full review, as I was focused on conversation as well as the cigar. It fit my tastes almost perfectly. It was real light, and mild, but not lacking in flavor at all. I am a Perdomo Lot 23 man, and the Roxy CT gave it run for it's money.

Re: Rolling your own
Andrew I wanted to thank you for hooking me up with John from www.leafonly.com He helped me with what I wanted and threw in some extra leafs and some glue on the house. He is shipping to my FPO so I should see them in a couple of weeks (Hopefully)
I will post some pictures when I get this thing started. How are you storing your leaf? |

Re: Rolling your own
Bingo!! I have watched tons of video's and every one of the Cuban Torcedor's use the entubado method. This guy is supposedly over the Partagas factory and their rollers, but uses the accordion bunching? Weird.

Re: Rolling your own
Have any of you experimented with different bunching to see if that had any influence on flavor?
