Measurements are alright that's why I was confused. I started smoking cigars with cohiba Double corona LE 2003 and they were awesome at the time. I am just surprised seeing it today. Cigars are hard to come by in my country and as usual there are fakes and real ones as well.

I agree Bob, nothing in the OP's pictures look fake. I thought maybe the wrapper seemed too dark but not compared to the picture at CCW

The price would make me think twice but I guess you just need to smoke them and find out

I think I payed close to $50 a piece for mine, like Bob mention, nothing screams out fake to me. It could be the lighting but at first glance, I thought the cigar was way too dark.

I bought one 2003 DC limited edition, 2004 limited edition, maduro 5 and partagas limited edition 2008. The place I bought is not habanos but then habanos does not exist in Turkey.

The sizes are exact match, the bands are all look and feel true. I am either extremely lucky or fakes gotten a long way and become indistinguishable, in this latter case, I am worried. The darker color is due to my hands shadow. The original DC limiteds that I smoked back in 2003 were rather greenish brown in color as far as I remember but they were not aged and rather dry. Oh well I will know when I smoke em.

Thanks all.

When you are done smoking, cut open what's left. It is very easy to tell short from long filler.

Here is a decent video showing short filler. Basically, short filler is a bunch of bits and long filler are whole leaves.

Just comparing the Edicion Limitada band on the 03, the top row of gold dots are definitely different than the band on CubanCigarWebsite. The correct band on Trevor's site has an even amount of black space above and below the gold dots. Your band is much different. Your band's gold dots also look pretty blurred together and not as detailed as the correct band.

Judging by price, where you bought it and that band, I say fake. But as we've seen before, you can always find bad bands on legit cigars. But not as much on EL's.

Ryan, you are right about thinner black line on top of gold dots but gold dots are rather sharp on actual cigar. Blur is due to iphone shake. If that makes this cigar fake and I also think this is fake makes me very sad since this means fake is as good as the real one on appearance. Thank you.

Keep in mind the bands could be real and the cigar could be fake. The best way to know is to smoke it.

I know this thread is getting longer than it should be but I am thinking of asking the shop to show me boxes. What do you think I should look or note or does it make any difference?
