It's only like 140 to buy out your contract...I had to call Verizon and ask

Love my Blackberry Pearl. If this is even better, I'm buying! Verizon has no dropped signals and works everywhere I need it to!

The only thing I cant STAND about Vzw is how they lock down their phones. Thats a huge mark against them for me. I know that on some phones there are workarounds, but I'd rather go with something that doesn't mind giving me some freedom.

I just picked up the new G1 after years with Blackberry. I was using it as my backup phone, but after 12 hours, I called up Tmo and told them to drop my Blackberry as I was convinved the G1 was good enough for me. It gets better and better every day and best of all the apps are free.

I currently have the Pearl as well. I definately need to upgrade, but that Storm price needs to come down a little before that happens.

I remember those days where I thought I needed the most current piece of gadgetry of communication and would be glued to it like it was a colostomy bag, which it felt like after a couple of weeks. There was nowhere I could go to get peace and quiet and now you can be buzzed, tickled, beeped, emailed anytime of the night or day and your whole life revolves around these things. Glad I am retired and not having to deal with being in communication at all waking hours of the day. I wonder if anyone knows what it's like to relax and not have to be texting, calling, surfing all the time?

I think $199 with upgrade/2 year contract. $599 is the full retail price.

That's what I meant, just forgot to type it lol. IMO I think it's going to be more like 299 or 350 w/ 2 year contract.

ITS OFFICIAL!

official date and official pricing:

Available November 21st everywhere (online and in stores)
199.00 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate with a 2 year contract

great pricing, but i decided to go with the bold and ATT this weekend. i think Verizon is just as good, but my experience with ATT and the service i get in the VA/DC area is fantastic. plus the Bold is just gorgeous and i wanna play around with it for awhile. but once the Storm comes to AT&T i'll definitely get it

Just put $50 down for the Best Buy pre-order. $600 for being not eligible to upgrade.
