Re: Good nonalcoholic drink pairing
Hot Cocoa can be pretty amazing with the right smoke.
I am also a fan of the spicier Ginger Ales, like Sprecher. |

Club soda. The carbonation wakes up your taste buds but doesn't interfere with the flavors of the cigar.

Earl Grey tea, iced, lightly sweetened....actually gives you a hint of a bourbon mouth feel.
I also like a club soda with a bit of FRESH lemon, it cleans the palate between puffs a bit. Espresso anytime. And it is hard to beat a nice, slightly fruity red wine, like a Malbec or Sangiovese. But yeah, Bourbon or Scotch is still the way to go!

For me, it's always water and rootbeer. Coffee is a good choice, too, but I rarely smoke in the morning and that's the only time I have coffee.

I've tried Sprite with a Partagas Salomones and it brought out the sweeter side of it, I'll have to give Ginger Ale a try next time. |

Re: Good nonalcoholic drink pairing
If not a beer, I usually just stick w/ water.
Though I've heard some in the industry drink sodas, such as Dr. Pepper, when testing new blends b/c the carbonation helps them taste the flavors of the cigar - no idea if that is true or not...just what I heard (which likely aint worth jack).

Normally, I prefer Coke over Pepsi, but the Hess stations around here have frozen Pepsi (and Dew, but I'm not a big Dew fan). I'm drinking one right now with an EM Emerald, and it's really tasty. Best part: 44oz. for $1.50.

Re: Good nonalcoholic drink pairing
Coke or root beer work for me, especially when I need that sugar after a nic overdose. But nuthin beats a good rum.
