my favorite appetizer spread that my mom makes is a mixture of goat cheese and cream cheese, layed with pesto/garlic and sundried tomatos. Amazing on crackers

I make a dipping sauce out of mayo, frank's red hot, and fresh ground black pepper.
It's incredible on fried fish.

Cream cheese, cheddar, Texas Pete's hot sauce, pulled chicken - simmer in small crock pot and serve with heavy-duty chips (Fritos Scoops or something equally strong).

Not formal, but one hell of a good hot wing flavored dip.

(I'll track down the recipe with proportions if anyone is interested.)
