Congrats brother,,,5% is nothing to sneeze at and you done good,,the cigar is a winner as well! Now, time to start doing the yard,,,painting,,,more furniture to help keep everyone in their job and stimulating the economy. Your work is far from over,,,there is Home Depot,,,Lowes,,,Orchard Supply,,,Macys,,,etc etc.

Thats great, I am buying one myself I just got pre-approved and will bid on one within the next 2 months This is a great time to buy prices are reasonable and the interest rates are about as close to free money as you are going to get. Congrats!!!

Congrats Legend!

I'm also looking to buy a house in the near future. I'm planning to wait out another 6-9 months as I'm hoping that the current prices are the true value of the house (and all of the price drops are just making up for the inflation during the housing boom), and that buying from here on out will be the best decision.

Same area. Just a mile and a half from my current rental. But the house I bought made in 05 the house I'm renting made in 85. New payment less than 1300(after insurance property tax etc). Old rent 1600.

So I'm adding an asset and lowering my costs.
