I don't know for sure. I just pulled the 180-220 range off of some website that was advertising the grill and that's what they said. Guess I'll go throw in some onion pellets and fire it up and see what my thermometer actually says here in a bit.

Tinkered around with it running tonight on all 3 settings. The smoke setting seemed to hold in the 190-200 range for the most part. On medium, it was pretty consistent between 300-310 and I pretty much gave up once it hit 380 on high. I'm guessing I could do butts at the smoke setting the whole time and once they seem to hit the 190-195 mark, bump it up to 300 a bit. Not my preference though so I'm thinking I'll be getting the digital thermostat.

I use a bradley smoker. Most of the time when I smoke I set it at 225 and let it go. Sometimes I want it higher or lower depends on what I am smoking but most of the time 225 does the trick.

New guy with a Traeger Lil Tex Elite. Love me Traeger. My wife and I use it all of the time.

My specialty is BB Ribs and ABT's, although we do usually do some part of most dinner on the Traeger. Last Thanksgiving we did our pumpkin pies on the Traeger and they were incredible!!!

I got a new digital thermostat and installed it the other day to replace the smoke/med/high temps and can't get it over 180 now. Gotta call the mfg. of the thermostat now to see what the problem is.

Did you get this issue resolved?

Yes-the new thermostat actually caused my auger motor to go bad. Once the thermostat was repaired and the auger motor replaced, I'm now up and running.
