Re: Smoking While Sick?
Can't taste anything when I'm sick. I don't waste the cigars anymore, I just wait.

Re: Smoking While Sick?
No, never.
It's just a waste of a good cigar. Now a pipe is a different matter. If I am a bit sick yet crave a smoke, I'll pack a partial bowl and fire it up. If I don't care for it or am not enjoying it because I'm sick, I can just toss it. Don't feel bad pitching a small amount of tobacco vs. a cigar. |

Re: Smoking While Sick?
I've tried it and failed miserably, so I won't do it again. It was a waste of a perfectly good Edge lite

Re: Smoking While Sick?
When I was addicted to cigarettes I would smoke no matter how I felt. Dropped that habit 12 years ago. Cigars are a totally different thing. I want to be able to taste the cigar and enjoy the experience. I don't smoke when I'm sick.

Re: Smoking While Sick?
Just had this discussion last night with Sam (Guitarman). I don't smoke when I'm sick. I'm just getting over this sinus cold that resulted in two days of migranes (which neither Tylenol or any other pain reliever could take care of.. but nothing a bottle of Nyquil won't knock you down for a while to get some blessed sleep), and with my sinus shot it'd be a waste of a cigar.
So yeah, in short, no smoking when sick. |

Re: Smoking While Sick?
I used to force ciggaretts down when I was a "smoker", but now that I'm a cigar "hobbiest" I save them for the times I can actually taste and appreciate the tobacco.

Re: Smoking While Sick?
IM with most of you guys. I smoke at least once a day, at night after the kids are asleep. When I am sick I really don't feel like it. I do however go to the humi, and look, picking out a good one for when I feel better. I tend to inhale a bit too.. .I know, I know.. not supposed to, but I do, so I put it off until I feel better.
