My apartment. Good, varied cigar selection. The lounge is a balcony about 160' up in the city center and the staff is pretty decent. Free espresso/coffee/soda/pellegrino. Great hours and non-exclusive... all are welcome.

Re: Your Favorite B&M and Why.
This shop in Gilbert, AZ is my new favorite. One of the only cigar shops in the state that has a liquor license, a full bar and 14 different beers on tap
Plus its right by my house so if you do visit I would be more than happy to meet up for a smoke and a cocktail. |

Re: Your Favorite B&M and Why.
The only B&M in my town. Smokers friendly, the owner is nice and knows everything about anything. They have a walk in humidor that is like walking into heaven, a small smoke lounge and carry pipes and pipe tobacco when I need it. All in all it is a good place to go, and the sticks there are in good shape. No mold or over humidified sticks.

Re: Your Favorite B&M and Why.
My fave place to smoke is here
Cigars are not sold here, but many are gifted. There is almost always something on the smoker and somewhat above average beverages for all and sundry. But my Monday herfing is almost always done at The Mark cigar bar at the Shilo Inn on the boundary between Portland and Beaverton (9900 SW Canyon Road, Portland). Great BOTLs, food and a complete bar staffed by fine people as well as 11 good sized HD TVs.

Another Virginia vote for Winston's
http://www.winstonshumidor.com/ I like that Kevin is very customer friendly and goes out of his way to handle requests or suggestions from his clients, including hosting special events like a "Chili Cookoff/Brew-a-Beer Weekend" and opening the store after-hours for poker nights. Plus he gets new sticks frequently, has decent prices, and is a great place to go for football during the winter.

There's one near the airport,SFO, I can't remember the name of it, T.G. went there. But there's also Knickerbockers cigars in Menlo Park. Nice indoor lounge, nice selection of cigars. Haven't been there since they rearranged the place though. Near the San Jose Airport there's West Coast Cigars. Small "shack" type building but they have nice selection of cigars. The lounge is pretty small and usually full of regulars but they have outdoor seating. |

Re: Your Favorite B&M and Why.
My two top places in the Chicagoland area are Cigar King in Skokie, IL and The Humidor in Westmont, IL.
Both have decent prices, comfy lounges and friendly staff. |

I like Cigar King in Skokie as well, they just didn't have enough space on Saturdays to accomodate our group though. I like to try to get there once in a while on a weekday and get in a cigar and a nip with Reggie.

I was there about a year ago with wavescrashing, Clay ("808") has been there more recently so he might be a better choice to contact about the place, but my impressions at the time were nice place, lots of room / multiple rooms. Couple of pool tables, big screen tv's in the various rooms, they serve beer and wine at very reasonable costs, like $2.50/bottle or something like that. Very friendly staff, no pressure whatsoever to buy anything. Selection is limited to major brands, you won't find Tatuaje, illusione or Viaje etc there, but the prices are very good, waves and I were thinking that they might have been below MSRP on some cigars. Their hours are a little limited though. It's pretty close to SFO - two miles or so. Last edited by T.G; 06-01-2011 at 08:22 PM. |
