Re: NHL '14 - '15 Season Thread
Hawks open up against a Dallas team that looks like they might make some noise this season. Seguin, Benn and Spezza is one scary line, and Kari is a great goalie when he stays healthy. Might end up being Hawks biggest challenge in the division.

Yeah, and I have Varlomov in one of my fantasy leagues. Yer killin' me, Smalls.
Corey Crawford saved 18 other guys, and the Hawks get a 3-2 SO win to start the campaign. I've been telling all my hockey buds that the Stars have unreal speed and are going to contend this year if Lehtonen stays healthy...but their puck pursuit is even better than I thought it would be. They are going to do some damage this season.

That was a great start to the season! I think the truth will be told for the Wild in how they play in CO. Tough game for the Avs tonight. EJ Id be willing to bet our clubs see each other in the playoffs again.

6-2 Jets! Nice start.....
Still look shy of a decent goalie in spite of the win.

Wings played well and won their opener over the Bruins 2-1. It was a fun game to watch. Wings carried the play but ended up in a 1-0 hole early on. They didn't flinch, kept up the pressure and it paid off. Their D was pinching often and the forwards were doing a great job of covering and back checking. I was impressed.

Venezuela, if he's lucky, Adam. At leaast it's warmer than Boston. Quote:
E.J., the experts are predicting that the Avs will not repeat the success of last season. Of course, last year they predicted the Avs would miss the playoffs, and they won the division, so what to they know? (Except for the 7 of 13 ESPN guys who picked the Hawks to win the Cup in 2015...they're pretty smart).
