I've not a head to head comparison. By itself it was very peaty and somewhat astringent. Rather like a "new" scotch. I have to pick up another bottle to see if that is really there, or it was a one off.

i could not take any more back on the air plain after pickin up a few other things other wise i would of loved some JW blue, green or gold. i guess next time

Tried my first bottle of Glenlivet 12. Very nice. I usually have a Cutty Sark or J&B in the house. I know, not high end stuff, but I like them.

- Macallan 1973
- Mortlach "Dreams" 1989
- Zacapa 23 yo. (old bottling) --> ok, I know, it's no Whisky but a great Rum!
- Caol Ila 15 yo. bottled by SSMC
- Ardbeg "Lord of the Isles"
- Caol Ila 15 yo, Scottish Castle Selection by JWWW
- Laphroaig 9 yo bottled by SSMC
- Speyside Single Malt (Glenfarclas) 1971, 35 yo. bottled by Whiskyfair

I went to the Costco liquor store yesterday and saw three real yummies:

Highland Park 18
Bruichladdich 18
Bruichladdich 1998 Olorosso

They were decent prices for their respective bottlings.
