When I was roasting at home, iirc, I’d take that right to second crack. Maybe even just shy of it. But that was a long time ago and I no longer have my notes. So take it for what it’s worth.

We had a friend return from India and brought over some stuff he picked up at a plantation...Roasted it on Sunday, pressed it today. Just had the peaberry and it was delicous.

Got some french roast from a local roaster on Monday from Whole Foods. It was delivered to the store that day and looked very fresh. In fact, it was so oily it was almost dripping.
I didn't care for it. I think I just don't like french roasts though. Anyway, I mixed it with some 8 o'clock coffee columbian at about 1 part french to 2 parts 8 o'clock and it was actually pretty darn good that way. |

Ethiopia DP Haile Selassie Sidamo roasted to city+, shots pulled at 202f, heavenly with a loooooong after taste. Funny thing is this bean is just average brewed as drip or moka but transcends as espresso.
