Re: Thompson Cigar
I ordered some Rocky Patel Autumn 2008 Salomons last December from Thompson's on a buy 2 offers, get the 3rd free deal. So, I ordered 2 10-packs to get the third 10 pack 'free'. They moved the so called 'availability' date up twice. Finally, when they moved it to Feb, 2011, I called and cancelled the order. They wanted to know if they could substitute another item and I said no, just refund money. It took about a week to get it credited back on my card. Meanwhile, they start calling your phone number looking to sell you something. I told the girl to lose my number since I don't intend to deal with them again. I still haven't found one person who's been successful purchasing those RP 2008 Salomons from them.

Re: Thompson Cigar
I've ordered a few things from Thompson's with no issues other than it taking two months to get my shipment (overseas) because they refuse to use USPS (which takes 5-7 days), but rather send space "A" to Japan. Across the board their prices are on the high side. Case in point, they are trying to sell 601 Blue Toro's for $200 a box and I just ordered a box of 601 Robusto's from Atlantic cigar for $94........Emerson's is excellent! I use them all the time, with prompt shipping (they include a 69% humidipack in zip locks) with every shipment and their Opus pricing is very reasonable.

Re: Thompson Cigar
When I first started smoking I ordered from them time to time. I never had a problem with them not sending my cigars but they always arrived dried out. It'd take a couple of months at the minimum in a humidor to bring them back. That's why I quit buying from them about 6 years ago. There are plenty of other better places to mail order cigars from if that's the way you prefer to get your smokes.

Re: Thompson Cigar
My facial hair is real not drawn on. Also those cigarettes would be lit Obviously they other way around.
Honestly though TN allergies prevent me from ever smoking another cigarette. It's a good thing to be honest, as otherwise those little bastards would have easily gotten me till the day I died. Quite obviously I have an addictive personality.....to say the least. |

Re: Thompson Cigar
I made the mistake of ordering some pricy Padrons from them, and within 24 hours they called me to try to sell me something else. I found them way too pushy, but I did get the Padrons within a reasonable timeframe.
It took three phone calls to get me off their mailing list for their catalog of value cigars, none of which I had the least inclination to buy. I give them a wide berth. |

I have only ordered one thing from Thompson and it came on time however too many of my friends and associates have had too many problems with the company. I would suggest staying away.

Re: Thompson Cigar
Prices too high at Thompsons.
Emerson's is a really good sight to check for Anejo and Opus. Never had any issues with them. |
