Re: Photography Thread
Frickin FINALLY....a week+ in the mountains of NC. LEAVING my D700 at home, I think I am taking a D90 and a D200
and some lenses. Not sure if I will shoot ANYTHING at all, but I am semi-ready. Got a bit of a dilemma...I KNOW that I want to buy another camera, lol, but I really want another D700. But for half the cost I can get my first D7000. As some of you know, my reason for preferring the D700 is it is a GREAT old camera, and all my batteries for my vast collection, lol, FIT the D700. Introducing the D7000 would toss a bit of a wrench into the hopper. But it is a VERY capable and modern camera. Not sure I will HEED advice, but I am certainly asking for some. What would YOU DO? |

Anyone have experience with Yongnuo gear? Looking to pic up another flash and some TTL triggers and the price. Reviews seem pretty solid, overall, especially for the triggers.

Tougher to make shots like that than I thought. Those were the absolute limit on how slow I can go on shutter speed with hand held photos, since it was pretty cold that morning and I was shivering a bit.

Another great night shot Ron!!
So for Christmas my son decides to make my wife and I something in ceramics class at school. I open mine and of course, it doesn't matter what it's for, he made it himself, so it's instantly an awesome gift. He realizes that I don't 'get' it and says.... 'it's a shot glass'. I hope he didn't tell the teacher that's what he was making!! |

Most of you know the story of Batman, the cute little kitten born with partial back legs. I'm not a big cat person, but this little guy has worked his way into my heart and was the highlight of our Christmas morning. We laughed and had more fun watching him than we did opening presents.

What a colorful lot of pics folks....quite seasonally cheery!
By the way, if anyone wants to pick up a Nikon D90, I am going to let one of mine go, and likely take a bit of a loss on it. If anyone needs a good Nikon, PM me. |

One of the only walks I was able to take at my sister's house for Christmas. I ended up with what was basically pneumonia
for the entire holiday. Christmas in Banner Elk, NC by Brad-(OLS), on Flickr |

Re: Photography Thread
That sucks, Brad. Lay low and do what your doc says; that stuff tends to linger around if you don't.
Those night pics above were hand held shots; amazingly my hands were pretty steady even though it was pretty chilly out there.
