I'm planning on bringing home me and Weeze's bikes this week. They're stored in the inlaw's shop. I checked them out this weekend, they're under a foot of dust. Good thing we covered them, but I'll still have lots of cleaning. (not that I mind.)

Finally cleaned out the garage! Now there's enough room for both the motorcycles and the heavy bag. The car stays outside (obviously).

Bikes are sold, waiting for the sale of the truck to go through. Then what? 2012 Ducati Multistrada S Touring time.

I think this is the point in my life where I admit to myself I am no longer a spring chicken and that getting old sucks a wee bit.

Here is a couple of pics of my scoots. the VTX1300 and the SS750. I had a buddy ride my 750 down to one of the local docks with me so we could get some pics.

We all know a few people who could benefit from this book. Heck, if I still worked in an office, I'd put it outside my cubicle.

Recent knee surgery (buff and clean, not replacement) left me uncomfortable putting my feet down and maybe slipping on some sand or gravel. A little knee torque with 850-lb of Goldwing could be real mess. So, after thinking I'd be riding that 2003 GL1800 until the End of Days... gasp - I sold it.

After three weeks without a bike I wasn't feeling right. A few test rides later I moved over (or up, or down, depending) to a 2007 R1200R BMW with a few trimmings. At nearly half the weight of the Honda I ended up with better MPG, lower miles on the odometer, ABS (wow - really), heated handgrips (another wow), heated jacket and gloves (double wow), hard bags and a rear carry-all, three windshields (sport, 20" and 24"), forward-mounted MotoLights and a Sargent saddle. It's fast, it's quiet, it handles great and, above 5000rpm it rips. Never had a BMW bike and what can I say? Hey - I'm a fan.
