Bells Hopslam Ale was $20 a 6er last night at Total Wine. Couldn't do it.

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
yeah - thought they had called it a DIPA on the label but apparently I've been looking at too many different labels today
Anyhow, point is it's perfectly good but there are plenty of others I'd go for instead... |

I feel ya. Just didn't want you to judge Double Bastard as a DIPA And I agree, it's a good beer, but way over hyped for what it is. |

Just cracked open my first Ale Asylum Ballistic IPA.
Not as hoppy as I expected. (Don't know why I expected a hop monster but I did) Lots of great flavors. Very well balanced. Getting the hops on the finish. Very nice, indeed.

One day I will get to see what all the buzz is about.
Yesterday, I had me some Callahans Choco-latte porter from San Diego Brewing. Made locally for their two restaurants. Not distributed outside the establishments except for growlers. I believe it is ~8%. Like a Hershey bar in a glass.

Chances are it won't be there when you go back, but I'd do it, Jamie.

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
Cracked last years release of Founders Imperial Stout. Aging nicely thus far, although reports on another forum say 3-5 years on this beer is mind blowing..
